OKLAHOMA MILITARY DEPARTMENT
COMBINED SUPPORT MAINTENANCE SHOP
2016 | NORMAN, OK
Architects In Partnership was commissioned to perform investigative services on the existing CSMS and propose lifecycle improvements that would extend the life of the facility another 20 years. Built in 1996, the Norman CSMS houses the offices of State Surface Maintenance, USP&FO, and SASAMO. The facility includes vehicle maintenance bays, allied trade shops (paint booth, wash bays, bead blast, etc), warehousing vaults, and clerical offices. Other associated support spaces include physical training rooms, kitchen/break area, shower/locker room, conference room, and classrooms.
AIP proposes to address existing site drainage issues, update the facility to current ATFP requirements, replace the room and front entry, repair and replace existing MEP systems, install a new fire protection system, and install new finishes. The project is currently in the construction document phase. This renovation will be a completed in 3 phases over the next 5 years to keep the facility operational while under construction.
