Enid High School
Enid High School
ENID, OK
AIP was selected by Enid Public Schools to plan the renovation of their existing 171,000 sf high school facility. The building is a historic three-story structure that was originally built in 1912 with multiple renovations over the past 50 years that completed its unique courtyard layout.
AIP worked with the District’s Program Manager, the Administration and end-users to develop a program and scope of work that far exceeded their original plans. Through extensive planning and budget management, AIP was able provide the District six additional classrooms, four new locker rooms, a new counselor’s office/testing area and a new sprinkler system throughout. All of these additional items were provided as a bonus above and beyond the original scope of work.
The program for the auditorium, administration area, library, and science labs included space reconfiguration, millwork, new systems and upgraded lighting. The renovation called for replacement of all interior finishes; including new flooring, ceilings, doors, hardware, paint, and moldings to complement the original architecture. Construction was completed in 5 phases and gave the high school a much needed update, while maintaining the historical integrity of the building.
