OKLAHOMA MEDICAL RESEARCH FACILITY

AIP teamed with Perkins+Will to provide construction administration services for OMRF’s new 185,000 square foot research tower addition. The design includes research laboratories, specialty laboratories for imaging and specialized equipment, a vivarium, administrative offices, scientific offices, collaborative spaces, and other building support facilities.

This LEED Certified facility includes wind turbines and solar PV panels, a water feature supplied from reclaimed water and green roofs in three areas of the structure. The building also provides full access for individuals with disabilities, a fire alarm system, electronic security, as well as communications and information systems that are compatible with existing systems throughout the OMRF complex. Several enclosed pedestrian bridges allow for quick access to adjacent support buildings and the design also provided utilities, electric service, perimeter lighting, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, and site improvements for existing buildings in the complex.
